List of products by brand Louis Jadot

The Maison Louis Jadot was founded in 1859; its founder is Louis Henry Denis Jadot, descendant of a family strongly linked to the Burgundy wine scene, as well as owner, since 1826, of the famous Clos des Ursules in Beaune. On the death of Louis Auguste Jadot in 1962, his partner, Albert Gagey, took over the winery, followed by his son Pierre-Henry. Purchased in 1985 by Rudy Kopf, former importer of Louis Jadot wines in the United States, today the Maison operates as a négociant and controls about 240 hectares of vineyards, from Côte d'Or to Macônnais, up to Beaujolais. Over the years, moreover, aiming at ever higher quality standards, the Maison has banned the use of synthetic products, acquired new cellars and, in 1995, also the Tonnellerie Cadus. The soul of the Maison lies in the Premiers and Grands Crus of the Côte de Nuits and the Côtes de Beaune; if among the red cuvées we can mention the Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Ursules and the Gevrey-Chambertin Clos-Saint-Jacques, as regards the whites, above all, the cuvée Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru and Corton Charlemagne Grand certainly deserve a mention.
